As you have already seen the new login screen for Ubuntu Karmic Koala and post gdm xsplash. There doesn’t seem to be any utility for changing the splash nor the gdm. But hold on .. where there is a will there is a way.. ok scratch that lol moving forward. type the below command on the terminal window “gksudo -u gdm dbus-launch gnome-appearance-properties” and change the gdm background and to modify the xsplash just follow the tutorial.. @eXsoR65 isn’t that exact same way? you either find or make throbber and the logo as an png, then replace them. . .
