    Well, you didn’t exactly follow the instructions in the video. Ubuntu by itself is not a virtual machine, just an ISO image. So you have to configure it into a Virtual Machine using VMware server, like it says in the video. VMware player is just to use machines created in VMware server, and is pretty much pointless because most Virtual Machine creating programs come with a player. So go download the “VMware SERVER” from the website and it should let you make it.

    I downloaded the ISO file from the official website and made a MD5 checksum of file and compared it with the official ubuntu MD5 list of the official website.
    But I couldn’t open the ISO file with any ISO viewer utility. I just can’t understand.

    I can’t even mount the ISO file on my vmware.

    But file integrity is perfect. I tried this on 2 computers, I just don’t know what’s going on. . . :S

    Did someone ever experience the same?
