Ubuntu is based on Debian, but they are different distributions. The effects here are being enabled by Beryl. Although you can just use Compiz Fusion also which has a lot built in.

would that laptop happen to be a inspiron 1525?
if so i have the same one! could u tell me if it was easy to install? were the drivers right or did u have to go on the internet to get them. if so wat site did u use?

Is Debian Linux also called Ubuntu? What Makes the Cube. . Desktop flip, Beryl Or Debian?

how did you make the windows look ‘thick’ when in 3D? mine look totally flat when they are stacked when i rotate the cube
